Good things come to people who wait, but better things come to those who go out and get them.

Pensamientos/Thoughts Good things come to people who wait, but better things come to those who go out and get them. ‪

Directly after graduating from Cardinal Hayes High School in June 1975, I decided not to stay home, not to date the girl next door and go into the corporate life to get the gold watch in retirement. I decided to take risks. Become a Gypsy traveling across the United States performing in various mediums. These outlets included Theater, Radio, Television live Rock and Roll plus Performance Art Tours. Risks are important. But how do you decide which ones are worth taking and when to be more calculative? Taking risks isn’t the secret to life, but taking risks does mean we are never at risk of doing nothing. Weigh the risk against the benefit. Benefit drives risk tolerance. If you stand to gain more than everyday benefit, you'll tolerate more than everyday risk. You not only have to weigh the risks and benefits of making a particular choice, however; you have to weigh the risks and benefits of not making it. Luis Chaluisan Cardinal Hayes Class of '75
