Pensamientos Knowledge is being aware of what you can do. Wisdom is knowing when not to do it.
Pensamientos/Thoughts 7. Knowledge is being aware of what you can do.
Wisdom is knowing when not to do it.
1. Be still and heal. Silence and stillness are preliminary necessities for realization. Only with space can one contemplate and reflect. Give yourself the room, quiet, and grounding you need to move toward self realization. It's a relatively simple formula: realization is understanding; understanding leads to peace. Peace in oneself, Peace in the world. It all starts within.
2. Know your habits, patterns, and tendencies.
If you expect different results from repeating the same behavior over and over again, in layman’s terms and to put it quite frankly: you’re delusional. That’s not reality. Different actions leads to different outcomes. Learn, observe and witness your self and your behavior—only then can you make a conscious decision to change. (In Sanskrit, the process is called: svadaya, which means "self study.") It takes courage to have self reflection and a willingness to surrender your ego and say, “OK, show me another way.” It’s so much easier to not take responsibility and point the finger toward someone or something else than to look at oneself and make the shift internally.
3. Share notes, exchange experiences, be open with others who are on a similar trajectory of knowing oneself. It's important for those who are on the Path of Self Inquiry to have mirrors of their own growth, to have support, to be in community, to know there are others also doing the inner work. We’re all just here to guide each other home. Show up for yourself and show up for others. Don’t give up.
4. Be gentle and compassionate: You’re learning, maturing, evolving, and growing. Be gentle with yourself, don’t expect enlightenment and/or transformation overnight. Spirit operates at the highest frequency. As humans on Earth, matter is moving at a slower and denser rate. New realizations and breakthroughs take time to implement and integrate. Stay devoted to your practice and everything else will fall into place.
5. Ask the question that will lead to the next question that will then lead to the answer. Be in constant dialogue with yourself. Know why you do the things that you do. Question why you think the things that you think. Keep what is useful and discard what is not. Only hold on to that which serves you, let go of all that is not in service to your Highest Good. You have the power to change your thoughts that will trickle out to the domain of your life.
